Documentation
Guides and reference material for card owners and print partners. Whether you're setting up your first Pep Page or integrating with our batch API, you'll find what you need here.
For Card Owners
Quick Start Guide
Getting started with Peppd takes under two minutes. First, create your account with an email address and password. Once logged in, you'll land on your dashboard where you can edit your Pep Page — add your name, job title, contact details, and social links. Your unique Pep Code is generated automatically.
Share your Pep Page link directly, or order physical cards through Print Co with your Pep Block printed on premium card stock. When someone scans the code, they'll see your Pep Page and can leave their contact details via the built-in form.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is the central hub for managing your Peppd cards. It is organised into four main sections:
- Cards — view and manage all your card profiles. Each card has its own Pep Page and Pep Code.
- Leads — a chronological list of all contact form submissions from your Pep Pages.
- Stats — scan analytics including total scans, unique visitors, device breakdown, and scan timing.
- Settings — organisation details, branding preferences, and account management.
Customising Your Pep Page
Your Pep Page is what visitors see when they scan your Pep Code. You can customise the following sections from the card edit page:
- Contact form — a built-in form that lets visitors send you their name, email, and a message. Submissions appear in your Leads page.
- Social links — paste URLs to your social profiles and we auto-detect the platform, displaying the correct icon (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and more).
- Gallery — upload images to showcase your work, products, or portfolio directly on your Pep Page.
- Text and bio — add a personal or professional bio, company description, or any other information you want visitors to see.
Downloading and Using Pep Codes
Every card profile has a unique Pep Code that links to its Pep Page. To download it, open the card from your dashboard and click "Download QR Code". The Pep Code is provided as a high-resolution PNG file suitable for print.
You can use your Pep Block on business cards (produced through Print Co), but also on brochures, leaflets, presentations, email signatures, event badges, and packaging. The code always points to the same URL, so your Pep Page stays up to date no matter where the Pep Block appears.
For Print Partners
Batch Card Generation
Print partners can generate cards in bulk using our batch API. The API accepts a list of card profiles (or generates new ones) and returns unique Pep Codes for each. This allows print shops to produce large orders efficiently without manual setup for each individual card.
The batch endpoint supports creating cards with pre-filled profile data or generating blank cards that end users can claim and customise later.
Pep Code Export Formats
Pep Codes can be exported in multiple formats to suit your production workflow:
- PNG — high-resolution raster images (up to 2048x2048px), ideal for most print applications.
- SVG — scalable vector format for lossless reproduction at any size, suitable for professional prepress workflows.
- JSON manifest — a structured file containing card metadata, Pep Code URLs, and encoded data for automated production pipelines.
Print Specifications
To ensure reliable scanning, follow these specifications when printing Pep Codes:
- Minimum size — 2cm x 2cm (0.8in x 0.8in). We recommend 2.5cm x 2.5cm or larger for business cards.
- Quiet zone — maintain at least 4 modules of white space around the Pep Code (included in our exported files).
- Contrast — dark Pep Code on a light background. Avoid placing codes on busy or textured backgrounds.
- Placement — we recommend positioning the Pep Block on the back of the card, centred or in the lower-right corner, away from folds or edges.
